Pros-perfect location- directly off Cemberlitas tram stop, right next to grocery store, several restaurants. Helpful staff- got us a laundry service, maps, and serve tea, coffee, and beer right there. We stayed in a private room for 2- we had 2 beds, and it was very comfortable for the price. Bathroom was food. Cons: wifi only works in immediate check-in area, breakfast is typical Turkish, but not substantial. Elevator was broken.
N'a vraiment de cordial que le nom. Les prix sont chers même pour Istambul.
This Hostel is great. The guy who checked us in also gave us a map and gave us loads of tips on things to do, where good bars/clubs are etc - really helpful! The dorm was really big and spacious with really comfortable beds.
There is a nice little library bar downstairs serving reasonably priced beer, with a real nice atmosphere for socialising with other travelers.
We had breakfast one morning, paying about 3 euros as we booked it in advance. It is not the biggest buffet spread you will ever see, but there is plenty there and you can have as much as you like!
There are safes you can hire for just over a euro per day in the reception area if you want to leave any valuables.
The reception is manned 24 hours a day so someone is always around to help.
It is a very short walk to all the major attractions of the city and it is quick and easy to get to the centre of the city.
Overall, absolutely loved my stay here and if I ever go back to Istanbul, I'll be sure to stay here!
The only thing which bothered me was the wifi there.....I had to stay in the lobby to connect the wifi signal...That was really annoying..
Had such an amazing stay here, can not recommend highly enough! Extremely social without being a "party hostel" and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is a big kitchen so you can cook if you want and an excellent happy hour so you can hang out and chat with others in the lounge. It's right near a train station and within walking distance of lots of attractions and you can book tours from reception.
I´ve have been at the Cordial House hostel for some days and enjoyed the simple, but clean and functional rooms. Not spending much time at the hostel (only sleeping and breakfast) it was a very friendly and open-minded atmosphere. The team was helpful in any way and especially the colleagues of reception and the bar were excellent, flexible and good partners for some extraordinary wishes. Public stations for tram and Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace are just around the corner - also some cafes and a supermarket. A very good place for those, who like to stay in a easy and cheap hostel - and use the time to be in and see Istanbul!
Los dormitorios tenían poca luz, faltaba una lámpara. No se podía leer en la cama.
This is probably the best hostel I have stayed in. We had a double room with shared bathroom and I could not fault it. The bathroom/shower room were spotlessly clean and the bedroom was spacious and cosy. Our bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get up in the morning!
The location is sooo good and is really close to everything; Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace only minutes walking distance away . Bars/restaurants in Istanbul are within walking distance as well.
We were offered a complimentary drink on arrival before one of the lovely staff showed us a map of Istanbul, he was so informative, highlighting the main attractions, bars and restaurants in the city. There is a bar in the hostel and they also serve breakfast, although we didn't use either of these.
