We would appreciate it if the staff (especially at the reception) could speak some English. Also if the hostel can suggest Tour packages for 1) Great Wall 2) Beijing City sightseeing - it would be helpful to foreign tourists
Iit would be great if the staff could understand and speak some basic English
Saff didn't speak a lot of english, so they weren't able to help alot with our questions about getting around town or things to see. They did know enough to easily check us in and out and were pretty friendly. I enjoyed the backstreet location, gives you a look into the day to day near downtown beijing. the hostel is very nice and clean, has a very nice courtyard with good coffee and snacks in the bar. didn't try any of the food here, but there is more than enough available just a stroll away
I stayed at the 8 person Dorm. The bathroom was clogged. so the water would flow to the bedroom . This happened for all week.I reported but no help. The common bathrooms are not clean up to HI standards. The common area is good. There is a mug/Cup police( girl) in the bar, you can't move around with your cup of tea, The bar is nice but the staff are not the best. However, the front desk are much better and helpful, the girls Xiao and Jesse they are super awesome. Location is great.
Washrooms are a tad dirty, and have no toilet paper. Everything else was excellent.
It locates about 10 minutes away from a subway station of No. 2 line, so it is easy to access Beijing Capital International airport. But it is faced with the narrow street, so I hope it set up guide signs at the main street.
