my best experience EVER in any hostel, employees really go out of their way to make you feel at home, ..... the hostel is well located with a Fully equipped gym nearby, a grocery store very near and also several inexpensive restaurants to enjoy a good meal for around $10, the subway too is relatively close,,,,and the cloister is quiet with lovely fruit bearing trees and flowers view from my room .I will always go back to this hostel each time I go to Beijing
The young staff were great, very helpful with giving directions and writing place names in Chinese to help us get around. Only complaint were the rock hard beds!!!

My stay at Heyuan was for five days. The dorms that I stayed in were relatively clean and I quite liked how the courtyard was designed in a traditional Chinese manner. Although my overall experience was positive, I would to throw in my two cents on how it can improve. First and foremost, the washing room needs a dryer! Even though there are racks to hang your clothes on, there were far too many people using them, and so I was left with little choice but to hang my clothing inside my room.
It is very near to the subway station. It was a nice stay, meeting friends in the same room. But it was quite noisy with people talking outside in early morning as the room is just next to the lane and the windows were not closed.
